THIS TOUR: Beginning with the oldest home in the area and two of Pembroke’s most notorious cold case files, this tour takes you on a voyage of discovery into the dark side of Pembroke’s past. Enthralling true stories (with the main one strongly interconnecting), amazing tidbits, chills and thrills with lots of laughs await you as you stop by heritage homes, a historic school, synagogue, first Protestant hospital, Grey Gables Manor, Booth House, Wesley United Church, finishing at the Renfrew County Courthouse and historic jail. Trivia questions are asked in between tour stops for scary prizes!! You will learn a lot, you will laugh a lot, and you will never view history – or your life – in the same way again.

CONSIDER: booking your own private tour during a weekday if possible, because then you can enjoy an inside look at the courthouse & amazing 1867 historic jail cells at the end of the tour!!! Consider co-workers, neighbours, visiting family, treating your staff, family reunions, antique car club, Red Hatters – I’ve done it all!

WHERE: Tours begin at 400 Pembroke St. across the street from Dairy Queen in the Service Ontario parking lot – please park vehicles against the BUILDING (not along Pembroke Street).
