Pembroke Haunted History walking tour is a rollicking  – and incredibly interesting – evening  of  history and fun.

DURATION: about 2 hours

THIS TOUR: Beginning with the oldest home in the area and two of Pembroke’s most notorious cold case files, this tour takes you on a voyage of discovery into the dark side of Pembroke’s past. Enthralling true stories (one of them interconnecting), amazing tidbits, chills and thrills with lots of laughs await you as you stop by heritage homes, a historic school, synagogue, first Protestant hospital, Grey Gables Manor, Booth House, Wesley United Church, finishing at the Renfrew County Courthouse and historic jail. You will learn a lot, you will laugh a lot, and you will never view history – or your life – in the same way again.

CONSIDER: booking a tour during a weekday if possible, because then you can enjoy an inside look at the courthouse & amazing 1867 historic jail cells at the end of the tour. Consider co-workers, neighbours, visiting family, treating your staff, family reunions, etc.

WHERE: Tours begin at 400 Pembroke St. across the street from Dairy Queen in the Service Ontario parking lot – please park vehicles against the BUILDING side of the lot (not along Pembroke St.). Admission will be paid in the 10 minutes before the tour; cash only, HST included.
